VIA NanoBook

VIAs UMD calls itself NanoBook. It is a reference Design, which was developed together with FIC. It is with 850g much easy and the dimensions amounted to 23×17x3 centimeter. The Akkulaufzeit is to lie at 5 hours. On this small system an adequate operating system with Windows Vista or Windows XP runs.

In the NanoBook are a Via processor with 1,2 GHz, a Via Chipsatz with integrated diagram map and 1-GByte-RAM. The 7-Zoll-Display has a dissolution of 840×480 pixels. Further are a WLAN map, a card reader and Bluetooth in the equipment. Further connections: Ethernet, two USB-2.0-Anschlüsse, an DVI exit and in each case an audio entrance and - exit.

Beside the display it still another pit gives to be attached into over USB MobilityPlus modules can. These offer for example UMTS, government inspection department, DVB-T or a clock.

The equipment should be available as EasyNote XS with luggage pool of broadcasting corporations Bell. The final consumer price has VIA does not admit given. First versions should be available starting from the second half 2007.
