DirectX 10 on Windows XP

An article in the Inquirer lights up the current conditions around DirectX 10 with Vista and XP. The original reason, why DirectX 10 under Windows XP would not function, was the Virtualisierung of the diagram memory. nVidia it did not succeed under Windows Vista however to implement such Virtualisierung why it made completely optional Microsoft now.

What means that concretely? Now, the only obstacle for DirectX 10 under Windows XP is now optional, speaks a Portierung would actually stand to nothing in the way. From marketing one gladly with Microsoft times apart. Because these seem to want to induce the users with all means to a change.
